This project consisted of the erection of an end of terrace 2 storey, 3 bed house with provision for 2 car parking spaces and an additional 1 parking space for existing property. AGM progressed the application for this small residential development on a 0.017 hectare, vacant and unkempt, site. Creating a short terrace by adding a property of similar design to the host semi-detached property was considered in keeping and little different to those existing in the area. Parking met Highways standards but the proposal was refused on the grounds that a parking space within the front garden of the host property could result in neighbour tension and amenity issues for occupants of the dwelling. The application was subsequently consented at Appeal.
