WEST MEON, PETERSFIELD
The Thomas Lord Pub
AGM were approached by Upham Breweries to review their property holdings and put forward suggestions as to how the Group could increase the value of the property portfolio and/or increase revenue by achieving additional accommodation and/or commercial space.
At the Thomas Lord overnight accommodation was not able to be provided within the existing building. Therefore 5 purpose built single holiday cabins were proposed in the extensive gastro-pub beer garden which provided a sustainable solution to the economic diversification of a well established business.
Situated within the South Downs National Park (SDNP), on the border of the West Meon Conservation area and within a SSSI Risk Impact Zone. Careful consideration was necessitated as to the siting of the units, the materials used to match to the location, green roofs and careful planting to screen the cabins. A sensitive approach to the ecology of the area was also a prerequisite. Working closely with the SDNP Planning department AGM achieved consent in and understandably the units are proving extremely popular in this beautiful tourist area.
The cabins are open for business, find out more below.
