3-4 Edgar Mews
AGM gained planning permission for the Grade II Gin Distillery at 3-4 Edgar Mews, right in the centre of Bath, to be converted into 6500 sq ft of Class E office space. Modern design techniques will be utilised to enhance and bring this unused and previously unloved building back into full commercial use as a Flagship Office for clients Interaction, thereby securing and funding its long-term conservation and maintenance.
The scheme is designed to ‘fit’ sympathetically with the rhythm and character of the neighbouring mews buildings whilst remaining clearly legible as the subject of later alterations. It will accommodate 70 staff and has a new central courtyard and atrium including meeting rooms and break out spaces. The building will be developed according to the WELL building sustainability guidelines.
The development aims to complete by the end of 2021 and this new Flagship Office will engender the additional regeneration of George Street and be a boost to local businesses.
