AGM progressed two planning applications at this establishment. The first being a replacement stabling barn and horse walker. The second was a 70m x 30m indoor riding arena for private use, event rider and breeder. We encountered sensitive landscape issues, due to the fact that the site is not only in a Green Belt area, its also classified as a Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The size of the arena made negotiations with the council more difficult, but they agreed that indoor arena was a facility for ‘outdoor sport and recreation’. A key aspect of the agreement was implementing a detailed landscape planting scheme for mitigation purposes
