The aim was to significantly increase the residential amenity of the property whilst also enhancing the street scene to better reflect the original Victoria Villa and character of the Bath stone properties further down Calton Road and on Lyncombe Hill.  This was achieved by replacing the existing, poor quality, 1 and 1.5 storey buildings which provided 2 flats with 2 luxury town houses comprising 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms over 3 floors. With stunning open views across the City to Bath Abbey the infill development was not without its difficulties being in the City of Bath Conservation Area and within the Bath World Heritage Site.
