Commercial units at Milsom Place have long struggled due to configuration and Listed Building constraints limiting profitability.  The last restaurant failure at No.1 Milsom Place being CAU.

Bosco, wanting to rent the property, asked us to review the site, suggest a  profitable scheme and mediate with the Freeholders and the Planning and Conversation Officers to agree a way forward.  Negotiations were difficult with massive steels needed to open up the front elevation to enable a glass extension with lift access.  The Landlord was concerned about exploration works and the Conservation Officer needed comfort on the intrinsic nature of the building; a difficult project but we succeeded enabling Bosco to contribute to the regeneration of Milsom Place. Works are currently still underway.

A key example of where AGM’s expertise across genres has enabled a Bristol Restaurateur to expand to the benefit of Bath.  We are all looking forward to going out and supporting this new Bath venue “post” Covid.
